Nbloodshed in the heart of Naples. A 26-year-old young man of Egyptian origins was stabbed by an unknown man in Piazza Garibaldi, a few steps from the central station. The attack occurred around midnight between Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June.
According to an initial reconstruction, the boy was hit with a cutting weapon in the lumbar area. Urgently transported to the Cardarelli hospital, doctors diagnosed him with a lesion to the right kidney, with a prognosis of 40 days.
His condition is serious but stable: his life is not in danger, but he remains hospitalized for observation in the surgery department.
The military personnel of the mobile radio unit intervened on site and police of the Napoli Stella Company, who have started investigations to clarify the dynamics and motive of the attack.
Investigation into a robbery that ended in bloodshed
At the moment no leads are being ruled out: among the hypotheses being examined, an attempt to rapina ended in blood or a degenerate argument. Investigators are analyzing the images from the video surveillance cameras in the area, which is always very crowded, especially on weekends.
The 26-year-old, still in shock, was unable to provide any useful details about the identity of the attacker.
