Poggiomarino – Yesterday evening, June 3, the Carabinieri of the Poggiomarino Station executed a precautionary custody order under house arrest, issued by the GIP of the Court of Torre Annunziata at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, against a 23-year-old Brazilian national.
The young man is considered to be seriously suspected of the crimes of aggravated robbery in competition and the illegal possession and carrying of firearms.
The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Carabinieri of Poggiomarino, under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which has collected significant evidence against the suspect.
The 23-year-old is said to be involved in a rapina occurred last April against a bar in the Vesuvian municipality, committed together with two accomplices, still wanted by the authorities. The investigations, which were confirmed by the complaint filed by the owner of the commercial establishment, were supported by an in-depth analysis of the video surveillance images of the Circumvesuviana railway yard, which were decisive in identifying the person responsible and issuing the precautionary measure.
After the formal procedures, the young man was taken to his home, where he will serve house arrest pending the developments of the trial. The investigation continues to identify the accomplices and shed full light on the affair, in an operation that underlines the commitment of the police in the fight against crime in the Poggiomarino area.
