Contents
Thirty-two analog shots and over 500 digital images
The exhibition consists of 32 analog photographs selected from the works of 16 photographers who have explored the most representative places of the Quartese peasant past. Alongside the printed images, the public will be able to admire over 500 digital shots projected on a large screen, thus offering a broad visual story of the rural and archaeological heritage of the Phlegraean hinterland.
A visual journey through the farmhouses and historical places
The photographic excursions, carried out in February, touched some of the most evocative places in the area: the Masseria “Crisci” and its ancient cellar, the Masseria “del Sindaco” in the Brindisi area, the Roman mausoleum known as “La Fescina” and the Masseria “De Vivo”. The photographers also documented some historic buildings in the nearby municipality of Marano, including the Castello Federiciano di Monteleone, the Masseria “Foragnano” and the rock church of Pietraspaccata.
An initiative that enhances local heritage
Already presented last February 22nd thanks to the support of the Campania Tourism Regional Agency, the exhibition has been met with great success. The initiative was born from the desire to promote knowledge of the history and traditions of Quarto, rediscovering the deep connection between the territory, the peasant identity and the cultural heritage of the Campi Flegrei, considered a fundamental pillar of the Campania tourist offer.

The photographers who took part in the project are: Luigi Borrone, Claudia Del Giudice, Luca Fruttaldo, Genny Giugliano, Gaetano La Rocca, Marco Menduni, Sax Palumbo, Rosita Percacciuolo, Alessandro Pone, Stefano Regini, Giordano Rispo, Gaetano Ronca, Carolina Tuozzi, Pablo Vecchione, Enzo Vitolo and Mariella Zifarelli.
