The incident, which is being investigated by the State Police, adds to a worrying series of criminal acts that have affected the family in recent months.
The extent of the damage suffered by Guido Grimaldi, who lives in the apartment with his wife and children, has not yet been determined. Officers from the San Ferdinando police station have received the businessman's complaint and begun the initial investigation into the case.
A worrying trail of attacks
Yesterday's theft is not an isolated incident. The investigation, in fact, will be extended to the various precedents that have plagued the Grimaldi family, in an attempt to understand if there is a correlation between the attacks.
A few months ago, the family suffered serious intimidation when a bomb exploded in front of the Grimaldi Group offices on Via Marchese Campodisola in Naples.
This was followed by a robbery and assault on the Group's CEO, Emanuele Grimaldi, at his villa in northern Rome. Now, the target has been his son, Guido Grimaldi.
The frequency and nature of the incidents raise serious questions about the family's safety and the possible motives behind this escalation of violence and predatory acts. Law enforcement is working to fully investigate the matter and determine whether there's more to these incidents than simple thefts.
