The 25th edition of the Villammare Film & Friends Festival concluded on a highly positive note, confirming the event as an unmissable event in the cultural landscape of the Gulf of Vibonati. The evenings, hosted by Daria Scarpitta and organized by patron Alessandro Cocorullo with the support of Andrea Axel Nobile, drew a large and enthusiastic audience, who packed the Piazza di Maria SS. di Porto Salvo.
The program successfully combined cinema, music, and entertainment with prominent guests. Martina Stella opened the event by receiving the Icona Cinema Italia Award, while Valeria Marini was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her long artistic career. The presence of Massimiliano Gallo and Francesca Rettondini further enriched the event with the presentation of their works.
The film awards honored Massimiliano Gallo's "La Salita" as Best Film, while Vincenzo Marra won Best Director for "Era," which also won Best Original Score. Among the short films, Paolo Sassanelli's "SofIA" took first place, followed by other worthy works such as Javier Arias-Stella's "América" and Rosario Petix's "Il cioccolattino."
Music played a central role thanks to the performance of pianist Danilo Rea, who thrilled the audience with his reinterpretations of famous film soundtracks, underscoring the multidisciplinary nature of the festival.
The celebrations concluded with a fireworks display by Pirocilento Fireworks, capping off an edition rich in emotion and recognition. The Villammare Film & Friends Festival thus confirms its role as a cultural hub in the area, attracting talent and enthusiasts, enhancing the bond between art and the local community.
