Naples. - Tense moments erupted yesterday afternoon on Via Francesco Cilea, where a 30-year-old man, clearly agitated, was blocking the normal flow of traffic. Alarmed by the scene, several passersby reported the situation to the State Police.
Officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, engaged in territorial patrol, responded to the scene. When officers attempted to identify him, the 30-year-old first refused to provide his personal details, then went on a rampage, physically assaulting the officers until they subdued him.
The violence didn't stop there: once he was taken to the police station, the man continued to attack the officers with kicks and punches.
The 30-year-old was then arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting a public official and also charged with refusing to provide information about his personal identity.
