Naples prepares for the America's Cup pre-regatta with a major event on Lungomare Caracciolo.

Naples lights up for the 2027 America's Cup with a pre-regatta event taking place from September 24th to 27th along the picturesque Lungomare Caracciolo. After the first phase held in Cagliari in May, the Neapolitan city will host the second preliminary regatta, a preview of the 38th edition of the prestigious sailing competition.

Racing will start each day at 14 pm, with a busy schedule that includes three fleet races on both Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September, while two races will be held on Sunday 27th, for a total of eight races.

The scoring system will adopt the high-point scoring method, awarding 10 points to the winner of each race. At the end of the eight races, the two best boats will advance to the match race final, which will award the overall winner of the event in a one-on-one battle.

The Race Village, the beating heart of the event, will be set up free of charge on Lungomare Caracciolo and will offer fans numerous opportunities to follow the action up close. Daily shows dedicated to the dock-out and dock-in phases will alternate here at 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM from September 25th to 27th, while the official presentation of all participating teams will take place on Thursday the 24th at 6:30 PM. The main stage will also host musical performances and entertainment.

There will also be dedicated dining areas with a food court and an official merchandise shop, as well as interactive installations by sponsors and other experiences for the public. Giant screens positioned along the waterfront will broadcast the regattas live, while America's Cup Radio will offer the opportunity to listen to the event in real time through personal headphones.

The Race Village closes at 9:00 PM on the first two days, at 8:30 PM on Saturday, and until 10:00 PM on Sunday, when the awards ceremony will also take place, including those for the winners of the Women's & Youth classification. Naples thus confirms itself as the ideal setting to experience the preview of one of the most followed sporting events in the world.
