NIn today's session, the City Council of Naples resolved to file a civil action against alleged members of a Camorra clan operating in the areas of Forcella, Maddalena and Tribunali, sent to trial for the crimes of extortion, drug trafficking and other crimes related to achieving control of the territory. "Once again this Administration is taking a stand against those who threaten the well-being of local communities and damage the growth and development of a healthy and virtuous economy", commented the Councilor for Legal Affairs Monica Buonanno in a statement. "We will always be ready to provide assistance and solidarity, in any form permitted by law, to the vast majority of our honest and hard-working fellow citizens, whose safety is endangered or whose reputation is damaged because they are associated with the presence of criminal organizations", adds Buonanno.
