The municipal councilor for Schools and Education, Annamaria Palmieri, spoke out about the incident and, following the school principal's requests for immediate intervention, said: "Once again we hope for a reaction from all citizens. A violated school is a violation of democracy." An investigation has been opened into the incident and now the police are trying to track down those responsible by viewing footage from public and private video surveillance cameras in the area.
