Naples, former Gomorrah actor arrested for drugs in Scampia.
Drug dealing: on this charge the Naples Carabinieri arrested a man who, as a thirteen-year-old, had acted in Matteo Garrone's 2008 film 'Gomorra'. Salvatore Abbruzzese, 26, with no criminal record, nicknamed Toto' (the name of the boy he played in an episode of the film) was arrested by the military immediately after having sold two doses of the drug to two customers, in the area of the so-called Puffi Houses.
During the search, the Carabinieri found him in possession of kobret, heroin and cocaine. His two clients were reported to the Prefecture as drug users. Before Abbruzzese, at least four of the non-professional actors chosen by Garrone to play the roles of the gangsters in the film based on the novel by Roberto Saviano had trouble with the law.
Abbruzzese's "clients" were reported to the prefecture as drug users while the arrested man was locked up in prison awaiting trial.
