The body found in the Adige is that of Laura Perselli. The missing woman disappeared on January 4th. The news was confirmed by sources close to the Neumair-Perselli family.
I Carabinieri have fenced off the entire area and blocked access to the bridge over the Adige. Firefighters have now intensified their searches in the water in the area where the woman's body was found.
The hope is to also locate the body of her husband Peter Neumair before darkness falls.
The discovery was made possible by the lowering of the Adige. The South Tyrolean hydroelectric company Alperia, given the production schedule of the plants following scheduled maintenance, reduced the flow of the dams of Glorenza, Naturno, Tel and Marlengo, Lana and Brunico, lowering the levels of the Adige river by about thirty centimeters.
