Full Heads Records, in collaboration with the label Materia Principale, presents “In my jacket”, the new single by NINNI.
NINNY, a refined multi-instrumentalist with a long militancy in the combat disco-punk band The Collettivo, has come out in the open in recent months by publishing a series of single songs that reveal a singer-songwriter with nuances and colorful hues. The delicate songs of the artist with the “shaped image” reveal a variegated world made of music and dreams.
After the publication of the songs «'O mument' 'e te scetà, «Cchiu' niente», «The Rest of Our Life», «Tutt' 'o bbene ca ce sta» and «Je Vulesse» arrives the single sensto feat. Dario Sansone (Foja) entitled «In My Jacket».
NINNY he is a young promise of Neapolitan songwriting and in a few months he has demonstrated that he knows how to write little pearls with careful arrangements and a rich artistic production that alternates singing in the Neapolitan language with Italian and English, romantically outlining micro stories of everyday life such as unrequited loves and city legends (the thought is all Maradonian).
His musical style contains echoes of American folk blues that intersect with tradition and for this new chapter published today, on all digital platforms, he involved his friend Dario Sansone.
The song was born by chance on a couch in an anonymous living room in Montreal between a day off and a concert of Foja's North American tour. The lyrics contain a simple but not banal concept: happiness is found in small things, in altruism or respecting the baggage of other people's lives, without condemning or judging, eradicating any form of prejudice towards others.
“In My Jacket” is produced and arranged by Gianluca Capurro (Sollo&Gnut, Radical Kitch, Quartieri Jazz…) with vocals, lyrics and music by Luca Caligiuri and Dario Sansone and backing vocals by Roberto Angrisani. On the mandolin we find Maestro Luigi Scialdone, on drums Giovanni Schiattarella and on trumpet and flugelhorn Ciro Riccardi (Slivovitz, Uanema Orchestra).
Recorded and mixed at Kammermurzak in Soccavo by Carlo Di Gennaro and mastered by Giovanni 'Blob' Roma at Arte dei Rumori studio in Marano.
