“Campania che legge”, a journey into the world of books. The March events are starting on the social channels of Scabec and Napoli Città Libro
Dstarting tomorrow (March 11), every Thursday, SCABEC, the cultural heritage company of the Campania Region, is proposing “Campania che legge”, an initiative promoted in collaboration with campania>artecard and created together with Napoli Città Libro to promote the entire book supply chain: from publishing houses to bookshops, from authors to literary critics.
An original format
Over ten connections made by some of the bookstores in our region with the authors and publishers of Campania. From non-fiction to poetry, all the production of the last few months selected by the publishing houses and told by the authors themselves. But also a journey through the bookstores of Campania, from the oldest to the ones that have become references in their territory. We will get to know the booksellers and the history of their bookstores, curiosities and anecdotes of a job that can only be done with great passion.
The idea was precisely to give voice and visibility to the entire book industry. Each episode was hosted by a journalist from Campania, almost always from the area, who adds the piece of the world of information and criticism to this real journey into the world of books.
“Campania che legge” is linked to the promotion of campania>artecard and the “Napoli Città Libro” Fair that will be held in Naples in June. A partnership that also benefits from the collaboration of other important subjects that have always been a cultural and organizational reference for events and appointments that have the world of writing, literature and essays at their center, such as the Premio Napoli, the Festival Salerno Letteratura, the Fondazione Gatto, the Emeroteca Tucci.
The first episode
On air tomorrow, Thursday 11 March at 21 pm on Scabec's Facebook channel @scabecspa and then on the YouTube channel - it was filmed in Salerno in the Imagine's Book bookshop with the bookseller Rosario Casolaro interviewed by the journalist Eduardo Scotti and with Laura Pepe, author of "La voce delle Sirene. I Greci e l'arte della persuasione", the publisher Giuseppe Laterza and professor Gennaro Carillo, in connection. The event was created in collaboration with the Salerno Letteratura festival, of which prof. Carillo is president.

The episode will follow on March 18th - always at the same time - from the Tasso bookshop in Sorrento with the booksellers Stefano Di Mauro and Angela Cacace and the journalist Luigi D'Alise who will talk with Francesco Pinto author of the book "L'uomo che salvò la bellezza" (Harpers Collins Italia); while on the 25th the appointment will be from the Naples bookshop "IoCiSto", with the journalist and founder Titti Marrone and with Claudia Migliore, president of the cultural association "IoCiSto", in connection with Brunella Schisa and Francesco Forlani, two of the 16 authors of the book "Ho sete ancora", stories inspired by some of the most beautiful songs by Pino Daniele.
