Castel Volturno. Record-breaking coup by the Carabinieri who this afternoon found 750 kilos of drugs in abuffalo farm of the town of Domitian.
The military of the Castellana station, under the orders of Chief Marshal Stanislao Di Biasio, concluded a brilliant operation by seizing a good 750 kilos of marijuana and arresting two spouses for possession of narcotic substances, residents of the farm where the raid took place.
They ended up under house arrest Raffaele Zagaria, 74 years old, originally from San Cipriano d'Aversa and his wife, Joanna Palace, 64 years old, originally from Grazzanise. The operation began this morning in Castel Volturno and continued for several hours given the vastness of the seized material. The military first inspected the chicken coop, finding 5 dried plants, and then decided to extend the search to the entire area of the buffalo farm, making a killing.
In fact, 18 dried shrubs and 14 marijuana plants between two and three meters tall were found and seized. In total, 750 kilos of drugs were seized (all marijuana plants among those cultivated and already dried), in addition to agricultural tools, fertilizers and other material useful for the activity.
The Samaritan Public Prosecutor James Urban has ordered the two spouses to be placed under house arrest pending the validation hearing set for Monday morning at the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere in the presence of their lawyer Rosario Avenia.
The investigations continue in order to identify the supply channels to which the seized material was destined, capable of feeding the market of various drug dealing areas in the province.
