InSong of a Myth. Homage to Ennio Morricone

The enchantment of Ennio Morricone's music and the eternal beauty of Pompeii united in an exclusive concert for ITsART
ITsART and Dream Solutions in collaboration with the Archaeological Park of Pompeii pay homage to the music of Ennio Morricone with an exclusive concert from the amphitheater of Pompeii that includes songs from the most famous soundtracks composed by the Maestro – Metti una sera a cena, Maddalena, La Califfa, Sacco e Vanzetti, Il segreto del Sahara, La Piovra, C'era una volta in America, Mission, Malena, The Legend of 1900, Cinema Paradiso, Giù la testa, C'era una volta in the West, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly – sung by soprano Silvia Dolfi accompanied by the orchestra conducted by Aidan Zammit.
The concert, on the platform from September 24th at 21.00 pm, alternates Morricone's music with contributions from some of his historical collaborators, directors, actors, musicians and singers who have given spectators their testimonies dedicated to the man, as well as the artist: Giuliano Montaldo, Leo Gullotta, Bruno Battisti D'Amario and Edda Dell'Orso, joined by trumpeter Nello Salza, a collaborator of the Maestro in the studio and in live concerts since 1984, who in the arena is a soloist interpreter of some musical paintings.
The show, created for theater stages (directed by Fabrizio Angelini) and conceived and written by Silvia Dolfi, is produced in the form of a 4K docu-concert by Lamberto Stefanelli and Dream Solutions; the protagonists are Morricone's most beloved sung themes, both those born in this form from the beginning and those transformed by the Maestro himself in this guise on the occasion of collaborations with Milva, Joan Baez, Amii Stewart and Dulce Pontes. The direction offers the audience a privileged view and accompanies their gaze around the orchestra, on the steps, in the internal passages of the Amphitheater and in splendid aerial views, enhancing the beauty of the archaeological site with a sober and superstructure-free setup.

We intend to invest more and more in this platform also to enhance the other sites of the Vesuvian circuit".
