Francesco Di Bella began his artistic career in the early 90s by creating the 24 Grain, a band that pioneered Italian alternative rock, of which he is the frontman and main author, who in 1996 with the album “loop” positively surprises national music critics for the freshness with which he is able to blend new styles of music, such as dub and trip hop, with poetic lyrics and a strong social charge.

24 Grana are often invited to radio and television stations, their popularity grows throughout the peninsula and they find themselves sharing the stage with bands of the caliber of Afterhours, Verdena and Marlene Kuntz. Francesco's performances are engaging and energetic, the group is popular everywhere, arriving to play in France, Spain, Slovenia, England and Japan. Francesco Di Bella together with 24 Grana writes and records 8 albums, two of which are recorded live.

At the same time he cultivates collaborations with the main artists of his city such as Bisca, 99 Posse, Almamegretta, and other Italians such as Marina Rei and Riccardo Sinigallia.

His “alternative” artistic research resulted, in 2014, in his first solo album “Ballads Café“, a compendium of songs from his years spent in the band, reinterpreted in a more intimate and singer-songwriter style, in which the lyrics are the protagonist.

In 2016 the album “New Gianturco", produced by Daniel Sinigallia, places him fully in the ranks of Italian singer-songwriters: the 10 songs on the album tell the story of his city, metaphorically keeping “their backs to the sea”, in a sonic journey with a post-industrial flavour; a pop album, but with persistent underground nuances, whose single “Tre Nummerielle” won the Lunezia Award.

Since 2016, Francesco has promoted songwriting workshops for young authors, an experience that culminates in the songwriting and music production workshop “Impara a girasole”, held for the first time in Rome in 2017, thanks to the work of Filippo Gatti, Riccardo Sinigallia, Francesco Motta and Francesco Bianconi. At the end of 2018, his new album of unreleased songs, “'O Diavolo”, was released, followed by a long tour. On June 5, 2020, a new single written in collaboration with the singer of Foja, Dario Sansone, “Uno vicino a n'ato”, was released digitally.

During the summer of 2020 he continues to tour his music with the project “Ballads”, acoustic, accompanied by Alfonso Bruno, ex “Songs for Ulan”, on guitar. In mid-April 2021 his new single 'Coramare' was released, a song that talks about the inner condition of those who survive a dramatic experience, in which Francesco Di Bella's voice is accompanied by Fabrizio Bosso's trumpet.
