Napoli report cards. The second defeat in the Europa League arrives, again against Spartak. The Russians win 2-1 at home thanks to a brace from Sobolev. Elmas's goal is useless: these are the report cards for the Azzurri.
Meret: 5,5. Not very confident in some early tackles, a bit slow on Sobolev's header that made it 2-0. In the second half he was practically never involved, with Napoli pushed forward in an attempt to come back.
By Lorenzo: 6,5. Another important performance by the full-back: attentive in the defensive phase, he often goes up to recover balls almost in midfield to then push forward. A guarantee, tireless despite 100% of matches played this season, between the championship and the cup.
Koulibaly: 5. Not his best match: serious, not like him, the error on Sobolev's doubling. The Russian team's striker, all alone in the area, overpowers him too easily, beating Meret with a header.
Juan Jesus: 6. He also does his part in the central role, proving to be an excellent wildcard in case of emergency or turnover. No blame for the two goals conceded.
Mario Rui: 5Too weak the marking on Moses, who in general has the better of the Portuguese in many phases of the first half, the one of maximum offensive pressure of Spartak. Good, however, the play in midfield that leads to the goal of 2-1 of Elmas.
Lobotka: 5. The emergency in midfield earns him a starting shirt, but shows all his limitations dictated also by the few minutes played this season. Serious penalty foul, practically cold, which gives Spartak the lead after 2'. (from 79' Rrahmani)
Zielinski: 6. He leads the team in the most difficult moment of his and forces Selikhov to a miracle with an open hand on 1-0. He confirms the growth of the last period, up front he is one of the best.
Lozano: 5. Absent in the first half, he tries to make himself seen in the second 45′ but creates too little to worry the opposing defense. Napoli needs the best Lozano in this emergency phase.
Mertens: 5,5. He suffers from the physicality of the game and is too often caged by the opposing defenders. These are not the games in which he feels at ease.
Elmas: 6,5. Excellent responses from the Macedonian in that role, definitely the most dangerous of his: he forces Selikhov to perform a miracle at the start, scores and also comes close to scoring a brace in the second half with a dive.
Petagna: 6. He struggles a lot at the start of the match, badly stopping the few balls that come his way. The play on the 2-1 goal is delightful and is worth almost half the goal: the touch under Elmas' head is very nice.
