The popular actor Renato Scarpa, the unforgettable Robertino in Massimo Troisi's Ricomincio da tre, died suddenly in his home in Rome, in the Bravetta area.
The Carabinieri also intervened on the spot; at the moment natural causes are assumed. 82 years old, he made his debut in cinema in the late 60s.
Among his best-known films are Un sacco bello by Carlo Verdone in which he played Sergio about to leave with him for Poland, meeting in front of the “death stake” in Vigne Nuove; Il postino by Michael Radford; Così parlò Bellavista by Luciano De Crescenzo and Habemus Papam by Nanni Moretti.
He was born in Milan on September 14, 1939.
