Caserta. The story of the dilapidated kiosk located in via Leonardo da Vinci is back in the spotlight in the city Caserta.
The structure – currently unused, but previously used as a public establishment – was the subject of a partial demolition order by the Urban Planning department of the Municipality, however the part of the building still existing appears to be in precarious conditions to say the least.
And so the commander of the Municipal Police Luigi De Simone, following photographic attestations regarding the precariousness of the kiosk sent to him by the relevant councilor Massimiliano Marzo, with a note signed on March 12 of this year, asked the relevant offices to evaluate further measures in order to protect public and private safety and urban decorum.
Further measures for which Councilor Marzo is pushing, declaring: “The kiosk on Via Leonardo da Vinci represents a danger to public and private safety, as well as a problem of urban decorum. For this reason I am urging the municipal offices to activate the procedures so that the remaining part of the building is released from sequestration and then completely demolished. In this way we will also restore a bit of decorum to the adjacent Pista degli Atleti”.
