Starting tomorrow, in a trial that will continue for two weeks, Asia – Company of the Municipality of Napoli – will use two fully electric vehicles to empty waste paper bins and containers for door-to-door separate waste collection.
The vehicles will be used in operational routes in the historic center of Naples where there is a significant presence of limited traffic areas and the service will be carried out mainly in the early morning. The initiative is born from a synergy between Asia Napoli and “Ladurner equipment”.
The presentation and exhibition of the vehicles by Ladurner Srl is scheduled for tomorrow, the day of delivery, at 9.30 am at the Asia Napoli headquarters in Via Ponte dei Francesi 37/D and after a simulation of use, the presentation will be completed at 11,30 am in Piazza Municipio in the presence of Mayor Manfredi.
Specifically, the two vehicles of the full-Electric range of Ladurner Equipment will be presented: native electric and not electrified with a chassis with an endothermic engine. The setups have been designed to maximize performance in collection rounds in urban centers, without compromising either in terms of payload or autonomy.
The vehicles will enter into operation immediately, being ready to be put directly on the road, on ordinary collection rounds, and for two weeks they will be in service in the city of Naples to conduct a stress test.

Today, electric traction represents a path to follow to enhance environmental protection and the guarantee of a planet to be returned to new generations at least as it was inherited.
Asia is aware that in the immediate future the use of electric vehicles will not be able to fully cover the service, also due to the limited range that has characteristics that are not always adequate for the type of operation expected in the City; however, starting to introduce such vehicles for the execution of the service in order to extend full electric to the maximum is revealed to be a dutiful commitment that can no longer be postponed”
