The Covid curve continues to rise in Italy. There are 107.786 new cases of Covid in the last 24 hours, compared to 132.274 yesterday but above all to 94.165 last Wednesday.
The number of infections has therefore exceeded one hundred thousand, for the second consecutive day. swabs there are 380.035 (yesterday 464.732) with a positivity rate that drops slightly from 28,5% to 28,4%. The new deaths are 72 (yesterday 94).
The total number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic thus rises to 168.770. Hospitalizations are increasing: two more intensive care units (yesterday +20) which thus become 325 in total with 43 entrances of the day. And 217 more are the ordinary hospitalizations (yesterday +355) for a total of 8.220, the 22nd consecutive day of increase. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
The region with the highest number of cases today is the Campania with 13.923 infections, followed by Lombardia (+13.681), Lazio (+11.257), Veneto (+10.745) and Emilia Romagna (+9.016). Total cases since the beginning of the pandemic reach 19.048.788.
I discharged / healed of the last 24 hours are 51.183 (yesterday 64.828) for a total that rises to 17.733.984. The currently positive there are 58.762 more (yesterday +68.093) for a total that reaches 1.146.034. Of these, 1.137.489 are in home isolation.
