Naples, more controls and video surveillance against wild movida. “High impact” in critical areas, remodulation of the services of the “Safe Roads” operation.
These are the measures adopted by the Committee for Public Order and Safety, chaired by the Prefect, Claudio Palomba, which was attended by the Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, with the Councilor for Legality and Security, Antonio De Jesu, the Deputy Chief of Police Riccardo Caccianini, the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri, Enrico Scandone, the Provincial Commander of the Guardia di Finanza, Gabriele Failla, Lt. Col. Carlo Passerini, Commander of the 1st Tactical Group of the Campania Group Operation “Safe Roads” of the Italian Army and the representative of the Metropolitan Police.
During the meeting - explains a note from the Prefecture - following the recent criminal episodes that have affected some areas of the center and the peripheral neighborhoods, also by minors, a further increase in the territorial control services within the city by the police was ordered, also with "High Impact" mode.
Furthermore, in order to accelerate the video surveillance projects currently underway, a meeting has been organized for August 1st, with the presence of the central director of technical-logistic services and asset management of the Ministry of the Interior, the mayor of Naples, the superintendent of architectural and landscape assets, the police force and all interested bodies.
The “Safe Roads” contingent was then reorganised in order to ensure surveillance of the targets chosen from time to time and in the areas most affected by the phenomenon of movida and roadworks.
Finally, as part of the activities to combat the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors, the Municipality of Naples is proceeding to send a communication to start the procedure aimed at suspending/revoking the commercial licenses of the traders who have violated the aforementioned prohibition.
