Yesterday afternoon, the agents of the General Prevention Office, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Center, intervened in vicoletto II Santa Maria a Cancello, in the historic center, for the report of a robbery.
The police officers, arriving on the scene, found two men and one of them said that, shortly before, the other had entered his apartment where he had attempted to rob his partner by threatening her with a knife but the woman had managed to leave the house; in those circumstances, the companion, upon returning to the house, had noticed the scene and had chased and stopped the attacker.
The officers stopped the robber and identified him as a 32-year-old Pakistani with a police record who was arrested for attempted robbery, while the knife was seized.
