Un murder brutal, with blows of accepts. Then the knives used to cut the corpse and throw it in a channels. A mystery solved by the wife's confession and the confirmation of her words. A crime with chilling contours and circumstances yet to be clarified, perhaps linked to a serious mental imbalance in an apparently calm elderly couple.

The woman's confession is of the August 18th; in nine days the investigators verified that her statements were consistent with what was gathered during the investigations, in the doubt that the woman is not capable of understanding and willing. Since August 12, the elderly woman, who has been followed by a specialist for years, has in fact been hospitalized in the ward of psychiatry of the Rovigo hospital, and now that the precautionary measure has been triggered she is guarded by the police.
An assessment, already ordered, will verify his psychological conditions, and consequently the precautionary measure could change. The murder probably occurred between 21 and the 22 July, the fact that the first findings were made a week later prevented the Carabinieri from finding useful videos from the surveillance cameras in the area, which were deleted according to the law. The couple's two children, of Albanian origin but Italian citizens, interviewed several times by the investigators, never contradicted themselves, they proved to be reliable and totally unconnected to the facts, one lives in Masi (Padua) the other in Switzerland. They had been informed by their mother of yet another argument between her and their father, and that he would leave without a trace.
