Campania Governor Vincenzo De Luca said this on Friday's Facebook meeting. "In the last three years - De Luca said - the market has been disrupted and no country has accepted more waste from Italy, so the situations remain complicated but we are moving forward.
The Giugliano plant screens recyclable material, recovers plastic, ferrous material and glass and then eliminates the eco-bales. We will work on 400-600.000 tons of eco-bales per year, in the average time we will solve the eco-bales problem of the Region with this plant we will have done another miracle.
I don't know who would have achieved this goal, we would have kept the eco-bales for centuries. In Naples, in the eastern area, we expect the first composting plant in the city at the beginning of next year. Campania becomes the first example of an environmentally advanced waste cycle, without new waste-to-energy plants".
