But at least for the South the sun, the heat and the summer are already back from tomorrow with temperatures that in Sicily will reach over 35 degrees. In the North the weather is expected to worsen from mid-week.
“This first Sunday of September is marked by the transit of an unstable impulse – say the experts at Meteo Expert – still belonging to the second disturbance of the month, over the central-southern regions, where variable conditions and thunderstorm phases accompanied by temporary drops in temperature are expected. A calmer situation with temperatures slightly rising in the North, while in the far South and on the major islands a rather warm air mass persists, determining temperature peaks around 33-35 degrees”.
At the beginning of next week, then, “the North African high pressure promontory will tend to extend northwards, favouring a general rise in temperatures; we will record values widely above the norm and peaks of intense heat in the Centre-South, especially in the major islands.
According to current projections - meteorologists explain - it should be a temporary incursion of the subtropical anticyclone, which will be weakened and subsequently displaced, in the second part of the week, by a vast depression vortex that is currently located close to north-western Europe.
The associated disturbance should determine a worsening during Wednesday starting from the north and Tuscany, to then extend to the rest of the center during the day on Thursday, while the warm air mass will be 'crushed' again towards the extreme southern regions".
