Naples. Yesterday late in the evening a 17-year-old originally from Sri Lanka reached the Pellegrini emergency room because he was probably injured by a sharp object.
The Carabinieri of the PMZ Centro intervened on the spot. According to a summary reconstruction still to be verified, the young man was in Largo Banchi Nuovi together with some peers and compatriots. Two unknown they approached him and demanded his cell phone and money.
His refusal allegedly caused a cutting weapon to come out: two blows to the left forearm, costing the 17-year-old a 10-day prognosis.
Carabinieri investigations underway to clarify the dynamics and identify those responsible. The military are also trying to ascertain the veracity of the version provided by the injured young man.
