Arzano. The flourishing drug dealing squares of via Zanardelli and the “corner shop” of via Galilei, and the roles of D'Aria Mario, Piscopo Raffaele, De Sica Vincenzo and Laezza Ciro.

Article Key Points

“On February 15, 2019 – the magistrates write – Monfregolo Mariano explains in detail how drug trafficking is managed: he makes use of some affiliates who, in turn, have other individuals directly dependent on them who are dedicated to the retail dealing of the narcotic substance. D'Arìa Mario, known as “Marietriello”, is Monfregolo Mariano's trusted man in charge of managing the illicit activity.

Monfregoìo Mariano, during the environmental conversation, inside the Fiat Panda, speaking with D'Aria Mario, indicates as an example Alterio Massimo (Renato Napoleone's brother-in-law) who, for the drug dealing activity in the Ponticelli area, uses a drug dealer so reliable that he enjoys his total trust. In essence, Mariano Monfregolo is communicating to D'Aria Mario that, inside the 167, he is the drug dealer in whom he places the utmost trust: (“he sells the service... you know why he sells it. He cares about someone like I care about you... Ponticelli... just like that and that's it... and it's strong... and it's enough that it's strong... he makes the pieces for him, he gives them to him and he sells them... ”).

D'Aria Mario, in turn, makes use of other affiliates who take care of the retail sale of the drug inside the drug dealing areas and, in particular, the one in via Einaudi at the intersection of via Galilei, conventionally called “the croissant shop”.

During the conversation of February 15, 2019, the drug dealing activity is reconstructed, divided, from a territorial point of view, in three squares and with the support of individuals who get supplies from the clan for retail dealing. Mariano Monfregolo, having arrived in Via Galileo Galilei, near the “cornetteria”, stops and starts talking to D'Aria Mario, to whom he asks to get into the car and get something to take to the “moccus'” (kids).

The conversation confirms D'Aria Mario's role as coordinator of the drug dealing areas and manager of the accounts: Having arrived near Silone Street - corner Meucc Streetì — D'Arìa Mario gets out of the car and Mariano Monfregolo starts talking to such Lello; the conversation focuses on the quality of the narcotic substance sold by Monfregolo and his dealers.

Mariano Monfregolo didn't want to "stretch" the drug because it was unprofessional

Monfregolo Mariano claims that “stretching” the narcotic substance would be unprofitable as it would lead to the loss of customers due to the poor quality of the product. According to him, buyers are well aware of the quality of the product and “the effort” (intended as reliability – ed.) (“now he's pissed off… but you know it's Lelluccio… sometimes he doesn't understand… you drag things out a bit… what you do you do to tell yourself bullshit… now I'm telling you… you lose people and they find out (ndr they find out)… you don't keep anything… because Lelluccio [0 knows people know my effort… when they see a different product, oh they tell me “oh bro, do you keep this? if this is what you keep I don't like” but they know how to tell me… the effort “).

From Air Mario, shortly after, gets back in the car and, together with Monfregolo Mariano, goes to the drug dealing square in via Zanardelli, to the so-called "moccusi" Bishop Raffaele and De Sica Vincenzo. At 22.20.56 pm, near Via Zanardelli, Piscopo Raffaele, a drug dealer directly employed by Mariano Monfregolo and D'Aria Mario, is present and reports that the money was delivered to a certain “Vincenzo” (to be identified, as demonstrated by subsequent conversations, as De Sica Vincenzo) who has already returned home.

Monfregolo Mariano first asks for De Sica Vincenzo and then orders Piscopo Raffaele to give him the money already collected for the sale of the drug, delivered to him on a previous occasion and asks him if a certain narcotic substance has had positive feedback among consumers.

In the subsequent environmental conversation recorded inside the Fiat Panda car, the topic is the delivery of the money from the sale of marijuana (“grass”) to Monfregolo Mariano and D'Aria Mario. Near via Zanardellì, during the conversation with Piscopo Raffaele, D'Aria Mario clarifies that 60 “old” Euros refer to the payment for the grass (Monfregolo Mariano: What are 60 euros?” – D'Aria Mario replied: “the grass!!….”). D'Arìa Mario realizes that Piscopo Raffaele is in possession of a large sum of money and asks him to hand it over, the same request is made by Mariano Monfregolo.

The dialogue continues with the counting and payment of old and new drug supplies and ends with the following sentence uttered by Mariano Monfregolo “Oh bro, keep 20 of the tough guys and 15 of these here...see you later...get a stump out of the middle...now you're going to get some grass...understood?...I'll come get it in a little while.”

Mariano Monfregolo confirms that the young drug dealer was supposed to stock up on a quantity of marijuana-type drugs from which he would then take a dose for Mariano Manfregolo himself. Mariano Monfregolo and Mario D'Aria move away from Via Zanardelli and continue to carry out the calculations relating to the sale of narcotic substances explicitly indicated with the terms 'fùmo' and 'fidi/letta' ( “is this smoke over? …no? “….. “do you know how much you owe me? “….”.. 0 …plus a loaf of bread”).

Monfregolo Mariano and D'Aria Mario, in the final part of the conversation, also quantify the amount that the former owes to Monfregolo Mariano for the narcotic drug taken on. It is the payment for the narcotic drug that D'Aria Mario supplies himself with for dealing in the square called "la cornetteria" in Via Galilei; the two also note that Monfregolo Mariano's nephew, Monfregola Francesco, has withdrawn 3 blocks (D'Arìa Mario:"your nephew... he has three there").

Monfregolo Mariano and D'Aria Mario, still inside the monitored car, talk about the "cornerteria" which, as a base for dealing narcotics, should be a place of aggregation and entertainment, to allow the presence of criminals without attracting the attention of the police. D'Aria Mario reports the words of a third party: “Marittiè let's sell this, throw away the wedges, let's keep this other one let's buy the table football... oh bro... here yours is nothing here the croissant shop... the club has to stay open we do drugs for 10 days and they close it down... the delinquents... omitted... the criminals in here put the patrol out there”; “better to keep it like this” sell a little drugs“.

Monfregolo Mariano recalls that it was thanks to his insistence with his brother (Monfregolo Giuseppe, then a fugitive) that the business was going well: “but it can never be… I had an argument with my brother… my brother said “that thing has to do the grass in front of him” it was me… I mean I begged him… I hammered him bung bangt… I made him give me the keys my brother said I'll take all the things and you pay me… my brother still has to have 2000 euros if we want to talk… ”.

It is clear that Monfregolo Mariano is organizing the drug dealing square, commonly called “cornetteria”, under the cover of a commercial activity that does not attract the attention of the police. At 23.57:XNUMX PM, in via Galilei at the intersection of Via Einaudi, right near the commercial activity called “la cornetteria”, Mariano Monfregolo discusses the opportunity to manage the place not as a recreational club, but as a croissant/sandwich shop.
