Dead boys missing on Garda, the car was in a ditch. The carcass of Sofia Mancini and Francesco D'Aversa's car found this morning near Affi
Sofia Mancini and Francesco D'Aversa, the two twenty-year-olds who had not been heard from since Monday evening, when they were seen getting into the boy's 500 outside a nightclub, died in a car accident.
The car and the bodies were found this morning, in a small embankment on the sides of the state road 450, near Affi, in the province of Verona. The small car, upside down and covered by vegetation, was noticed by some road maintenance workers.
The discovery of the two bodies, a woman and a man, inside the white 500 that was being searched for was confirmed to the mayor of Costermano sul Garda, Stefano Passarini, who immediately took action by raising the alarm about the disappearance of the young people. Sofia Mancini, 20 years old, lived with her family in Costermano. Francesco D'Aversa, 24 years old, who worked in Verona, was originally from Taranto.
The searches, also carried out with drones and helicopters, were concentrated yesterday on the shore of Lake Garda between Calmasino and Lazise, where the telephone cells had hooked up to Sofia's cell phone for a few moments on Monday night.
The ravine where the car ended up was not visible from the road that connects Lazise to Affi. It was a team of workers from Veneto Strade who noticed this morning some pieces of bodywork half-covered by bushes.
