Everything is ready for the new edition of the “I Colori della Musica” festival, scheduled in Naples, at the Teatro Sannazaro, which from 28 October to 30 November 2022 offers a program of ten shows with the best of the artistic and musical panorama of Campania.
The “I Colori della Musica” festival is organized by the Musicant Cultural Association, with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the Campania Region, while the Artistic Direction is entrusted to Lino Vairetti and Francesco Sorrentino, who have created a project with a very specific purpose: to represent and tell the story of our magnificent land, Naples and Campania, respecting its sounds, colors and its incomparable tradition.
The cast that enriches this year's program is composed of musicians of great artistic prestige and was also identified with the aim of keeping the spotlight on some important and highly topical issues, such as environmental sustainability and the various social and cultural emergencies of our days, on which, thanks to the authorial music and the creative experiences of the various artists involved, it will be possible to involve and sensitize the audience of the Teatro Sannazaro.
The festival will be inaugurated on October 28, 2022, at 21:00 pm, by one of the most original bands on the national music scene, Capone & BungtBangt, the founders of junk music, as is their style. The group composed of Maurizio Capone (vocals, electric broom and various junk), Mr. Paradis (bass and scatology), Maestro Zannella (buatteria) and Il Rosso (percussion instruments) will offer the live show “Come suona il caos”, a mixture of music composed with instruments made from waste and recycled materials. The performance of Capone & BungtBangt is characterized by a setlist that draws from the many songs published in their long discography and that release so much rock, rap, reggae and funk energy with environmentalist content that for over twenty years has made them the first Italian band to promote eco-sustainability through sound and the sharing of social issues.
On October 29th, again at 21:00 pm, it will be the turn of Marco Zurzolo's Mediterranean jazz with "I Napoletani non sono romantici".
On October 30, at 18:00 pm, Lalla Esposito and Massimo Masiello will be the protagonists with “Sfogliatelle e Altre Storie d'Amore”, a fun and intense recital.
On November 4th and 5th, at 21:00 pm, and on November 6th at 18:00 pm, it will be the turn of Valentina Stella, one of the most representative female voices of Neapolitan song, the one who best represents the ideal connection between classical Neapolitan song and modernity, who will be the protagonist of a concert that contains the story of an artist, a daughter of Naples ready to enchant her city.
On November 7th, at 21:00 pm, space for modern dance brought to the stage by the ensemble Human Dance Company, which proposes “Back in soul”, a show with 8 elements, entirely choreographed and directed by Andrea Saggiomo, created to bring back to light the old American lyrical jazz made of technique, rhythm and energy that places the female figure and its fragilities at the center, showing her sometimes as a warrior and sometimes as a victim.
On November 15, at 21:00 p.m., Carlo Faiello will propose Ballanza, a show designed to rediscover the forgotten balance, an invitation to dance through the spontaneity of popular music to unlock the source of that energy that belongs to our inner dimension. From the hypnotic movement of the Tammurriata to the joyful one of the Tarantella, passing through the form of the singer-songwriter.
On November 16, at 21:00 pm, Rita Ciccarelli & Flowin Gospel with the extraordinary Lara Johnson as guest will perform the show “God Provides”, a concert capable of enchanting an attentive and participatory audience and which evokes the emotional intensity of American evangelical communities.
On November 17, at 21:00 pm, Eugenio Bennato's "Vento Popolare" will blow on the stage of the Teatro Sannazaro, accompanied by his ensemble formed by Ezio Lambiase (classical and electric guitar), Mujura (acoustic guitar and bass), Sonia Totaro (voice and dance), Francesca Del Duca (voice and percussion). The concert includes songs from the new album and the great classics that have marked his forty-year career, for an event that represents a significant stage of his latest tour.
On November 23rd, instead, the legendary Osanna, who will propose “Il Diedro del Mediterraneo”, a concert linked to the publication of the Album of the same name and which celebrates 50 years of history of the Neapolitan formation, accredited in the world among the most famous bands of “progressive rock”. A repertoire made up of unreleased songs taken from the new album and songs from the historical repertoire linked to the albums of the 70s.
On November 30, at 21:00 p.m., the closing of the “I Colori della Musica” festival is entrusted to the Campania-Argentine trio formed by Peppe Servillo, Javier Girotto and Natalio Mangalavite, with their show “Parientes”, a journey into memories, people, and the imagination of a migrant population that gave life to another culture and, at the same time, preserved its own by giving it new life, like an arch that stretches between the banks and over time.
