Since early afternoon yesterday and throughout the evening, the Carabinieri of the Mondragone Territorial Department have carried out, in the Domitian area, an extraordinary service of territorial control aimed at combating widespread illegality and drug dealing.
During the checks, in Castel Volturno, the military personnel of the Arma proceeded to execute a precautionary measure, for concurrent sentences, issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Pescara against a thirty-eight-year-old local woman, currently under house arrest, found guilty of aggravated and continued theft in competition, attempted aggravated robbery in competition and possession for the purpose of dealing of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
Furthermore, in the same municipality, on the provincial road 261, a fifty-year-old local man was reported at large for aggravated theft and possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence. The man was stopped, following a chase, on board a car that had been reported stolen shortly before at the Sant'Andrea del Pizzone Carabinieri Station.
The defendant, following a personal search, was found in possession of a switchblade, which was seized. The recovered car was returned to its rightful owner.
Furthermore, the same military personnel proceeded, in Mondragone, to track down and arrest a fifty-year-old local man, recipient of a prison order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of L'Aquila - Criminal Enforcement Office, as he was found guilty of fraud in competition and unauthorized waste management activity.
The checks carried out finally allowed 66 people to be identified and 32 vehicles and 5 commercial establishments to be checked.
