An illegal parking attendant operating in Via Toledo in Naples allegedly asked a motorist 80 euros for a daily parking fee.
When the latter refused to pay the sum, threats of retaliation on the car began. The victim then called the police who, thanks to the description provided, identified him and stopped him along with a 'colleague'.
Both parking attendants caught red-handed are Napoli, and one was reported for extortion and the other for attempted extortion.

“In the face of such a violent and deeply rooted phenomenon in the city as that of illegal parking attendants, the only response that must come from the State is zero tolerance. Parking extortionists are a festering plague for our community.
With ever greater arrogance they demand large sums from the victims and are ready to take revenge on their cars. I remember that the proceeds of this activity often finance the Camorra clans and therefore we must cut this illegal economy sharply by providing for prison for repeat offenders caught red-handed”.
