Yesterday morning the officers of the Decumani Police Station, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Centre, intervened in via Toledo for reporting a person threatened by an abusive parking attendant.

The police, arriving on the scene, were approached by a driver who said that, when he was getting back into his vehicle parked on the blue lines in Piazza Carità, he was approached by another man who threatened to damage his car if he did not give him 80 euros; therefore, frightened, he quickly moved away to call 113. Furthermore, the driver reported that the day before he had also been approached by another man who in a threatening manner had asked him for 20 euros for parking, which he had immediately paid him.

The operators, thanks to the descriptions provided by the victim, identified and stopped the two parking attendants, both Neapolitans, reporting one for extortion and the other for attempted extortion; both were also fined because they were caught carrying out the activity of illegal parking attendant.
