A “Caserta package” that will have the objective of keeping tourists in the city for at least a couple of days and avoiding the usual “hit and run”, introducing them to all the main cultural attractions of the capital and the surrounding areas.

This is the proposal that emerged at the end of a meeting held in the Sala Giunta of the Municipality of Caserta, which saw the presence of the regional councilor for Tourism, Felice Casucci, the deputy mayor and councilor for Events, Emiliano Casale, the councilor for Tourist Well-being of the City, Antonio De Lucia, the councilor for Culture, Enzo Battarra, and the provincial representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Confcommercio, Confesercenti, Confindustria, Federalberghi and Reggia di Caserta.

Therefore, a round table will be convened shortly, chaired by Councillor Casucci, to make the "Caserta package" concrete, with the aim of not relegating the city and its extraordinary tourist assets (first and foremost the Royal Palace and the Belvedere of San Leucio) to a visit lasting a few hours and at the end of a tourist programme dedicated to Naples.

“Today's – explained the deputy mayor, Emiliano Casale – it is the first meeting of a permanent roundtable on tourism, which intends to carry on a constant dialogue with the trade associations, proposing ideas and solutions to retain tourists in our city".

“We are satisfied – added the City Councillor for Tourist Welfare, Antonio De Lucia – of the availability of Councilor Casucci. From the synergy between the Municipality, Region, trade associations and tour operators, projects to relaunch tourism in Caserta can arise”.

“Cultural tourism – declared the Councillor for Culture, Enzo Battarra – that is, the one based on the promotion and valorization of our great artistic heritage, is the main element to attract new visitors".
