Checks by the Carabinieri of the Stella Company in the neighborhoods surrounding the central station and in those north of Naples.
Dozens of patrols have been deployed in Piazza Garibaldi, in the Stella districts, Scampia, Vasto and among the streets of San Carlo Arena.
Arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing, a 39-year-old and a 16-year-old from Lotto M in Scampia. During a search, they were found in possession of 34 doses of drugs: cocaine, heroin and crack. They also had 90 euros in cash on them, believed to be the proceeds of illicit trafficking. The adult was taken to prison, the minor to a first reception center.
Also arrested was a 55-year-old from the Stella neighborhood, stopped in Piazza Cavour. Shortly before, he allegedly pickpocketed a supermarket employee, stealing her wallet. The stolen goods were recovered and the 55-year-old was arrested for theft by sleight of hand. He is now under house arrest, awaiting trial.
A 42-year-old Neapolitan man was reported and placed under special surveillance. He was caught on the street, along with two criminals, in violation of the measure to which he is linked.
A 24-year-old of Cuban origins will also have to answer for possession for the purpose of dealing. Thanks to the nose of a drug-sniffing dog from the Sarno canine unit, a dose of marijuana and 640 euros in small denomination banknotes were found on him.
The balance also includes an illegal parking attendant and checks at a hotel in the Vasto district. The military discovered an employee without a contract among the staff. The owner of the facility faces fines of 3600 euros.
There was no shortage of traffic violations. During the service, 17 fines were notified for over 12 thousand euros in fines. The checks will continue in the coming hours.
