An immense heritage that of Stabiae which includes unique finds and testimonies of the Roman villas located on the Varano plateau in Castellammare - today kept at the Archaeological Museum of Stabiae Libero D'Orsi and the National Archaeological Museum of Naples - to be enhanced, made known and enjoyed more and more, in order to highlight the exceptional historical and cultural value of these territories, their origin and history.
It is on these bases that the Framework Agreement between the Archaeological Park of Pompeii and the National Archaeological Museum of Naples is based – which collects the finds discovered during the Bourbon excavations – through which it is intended to give life to projects dedicated to the knowledge and valorization of this heritage.
Not only dissemination activities, such as the organization of conferences, seminars and publications, but also research on materials and their contexts of provenance and the creation of a digital catalogue of the Stabian finds aimed at participatory and digital fruition.
And above all, we will start immediately with the loan of several works that will enrich the exhibition itinerary of the Museo Libero D'Orsi in the expansion phase, which will be followed, according to plans programmed over time, by exhibitions and cross-cultural itineraries.
