A real greenhouse – probably to be used for marijuana – was what the Carabinieri of the Qualiano station found themselves in front of during an anti-drug operation when they arrested a 19-year-old local with no criminal record.
But let's proceed in order. We are in Qualiano on Via Ripuaria when the Carabinieri of the local station together with the soldiers of the Sarno dog unit decide to search the 19-year-old's home. The search - thanks to the dog units' nose - is well directed and after a few minutes the first discovery.
In a sock, hidden above the bathroom window, 42 grams of hashish already divided into 25 doses. The operations continue and the search moves to the cellar. There the carabinieri find an area of about 35 square meters already ready to be used presumably for the cultivation of marijuana.
In the premises, halogen lamps, a silver paper covering and the provision for aerators were found. Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri with the arrested person awaiting trial.
