A neighbor of Alessandro Impagnatiello told investigators that on the afternoon of Sunday, May 28, she saw "a huge amount of ash coming from the front door of the man's apartment," "continuing down the stairs of the building to the garage" of the couple.

It is another of the elements in the investigation records. Again on Sunday afternoon Impagnatiello, who had already killed Giulia the night before, sent her messages on her phone saying “baby where are you? We’re all getting worried.” And the next day: “Just tell us you’ve run away to some faraway country.”
In the minutes of his confession, we read cold sentences such as "I did not succeed in the intention of reducing the body to ashes". And again: "When I filed the missing person report, Giulia's body was in the garage". And when the prosecutor asked him "were you not afraid that the carabinieri would open the garage?", he replied: "Perhaps I hoped they would".
On Monday, he said, he moved “the body from the garage to the cellar.” On Tuesday, he said, “I took the car to the garage and loaded the body into the trunk,” where, according to his story, it remained until the following night, before being thrown into a hole near some garages.
First, the man stated, “I still used the car and drove around with the body in the trunk.” He said he threw “Giulia’s phone down a drain,” as well as the ATM, while he burned her passport. He claimed he didn’t ask anyone for help: “Maybe my mother had doubts, but for 30 years I never gave anyone any reason that I could ever do something like that.”
Among the contested precautionary requirements are the risk of tampering with evidence (he even managed to “falsify” a paternity test) and the risk of escape, also because in the days after the murder he was doing research to buy a “trekking backpack” for a “quick escape”.
And finally the risk of repetition for his “social dangerousness” and for the “cruelty” of having killed with “premeditation” also the “child she was carrying in her womb”. Even the lover, the prosecutors write, was “afraid” of him: he did not want to “suffer the same fate” as Giulia.
Giulia's sister: "I want to scream, we're dead too"
“We will always be that flower leaning on your shoulder. We will hold you both up, we will be like clouds and we will always look up. I would like to shout it to the world how I feel, but the words die in my throat”.
Thus begins the dramatic farewell of Chiara Tramontano, sister of Giulia, the 29-year-old woman killed in Milan while she was seven months pregnant, entrusted to a post on Instagram. “Because – Chiara writes – I died slowly in these five days. We are dead. So that you are never alone.
We came with you, so we could rock him, hug him, touch him. Because I wanted to be the best aunt ever, if they had allowed me. We would have liked to do more to bring you home. Please… tell me: was it enough? Did you hear us? Because we don't feel anything anymore”.
In another story, the woman posted a picture of the reunited family, thanking everyone who participated in the search “from the bottom of the heart of a broken family, of brothers who did not have the opportunity to cradle their grandson.”
The prosecutors on Impagnatiello, 'a manipulator ready to deceive'
Alexander Impagnetiello has demonstrated a “marked capacity for manipulation and deception”. This is what the prosecutors of Milan wrote in the documents with which they asked the investigating judge to validate the arrest and remand in prison for the 30-year-old accused, in the investigations of the Carabinieri, of voluntary homicide aggravated by premeditation, but also by “futile motives” and “cruelty”, of concealment of a corpse and termination of pregnancy without consent for the death of his girlfriend Giulia Tramontano, who was 7 months pregnant.
In the documents, among other things, there are numerous inconsistencies in the version told by the man when the 29-year-old was missing, compared to the surveillance cameras analyzed by the investigators. Images that capture him, for example, around 7 in the morning on Sunday 28 May while he leaves the house with "two packages" containing "material compatible with a pile of clothes".
Furthermore, the documents state that the man spoke to the other woman with whom he had a parallel relationship, a 23-year-old Italian-English woman (who also became pregnant by him but with an interrupted pregnancy), about Giulia as a “mentally unstable” woman who had expressed “the intention to kill herself”.
