The National UNPLI has announced July 9th as the National Day of Pro Loco of Italy.
"This initiative is a good opportunity to promote better understanding among people, institutions, the press, the activities and the leading role of Pro Loco in promoting the territory, in the tourist and cultural valorization, in the safeguarding of memory, as an anchor for the construction of tomorrow, with all the commitment in social and human promotion. The National Day of Pro Loco is an opportunity to "showcase" our ability to dream, to imagine and also to create events, demonstrations, reviews, festivals and concerts to ensure that people can move from the sea to the mountains and get to know our splendid villages".
The Pro Loco Camerota APS Tourist Office also joined the initiative, organizing a day dedicated to traditions in Licusati, at the garden of the Donna Clara farm.
From 18:00 pm, the estate will host a market dedicated to local artisanal and food and wine products, in addition to a concert of Cilento folk music held by Lanternina Folk.
"The Pro Loco Camerota is committed to the enhancement of villages, coasts, hills or mountains, in a continuous effort, always accompanied by enthusiasm that stimulates the joy of meeting, the pleasure of being together, the smile of people, the enthusiasm of children and the elderly. The action, the commitment is manifested in many small things, in many gestures, in many testimonies; today more than ever the Pro Loco are increasingly capable of intercepting the new dynamics of tourism, economy and culture“, concludes Gino Del Gaudio, president of the Pro Loco.
