MaraDona is the homage in music and images to the Argentine champion Diego Armando Maradona by the Italian-French artist Giuliano Gabriele. Written and performed by Gabriele himself, using the system ironically called 'CosmoNApolitano-Maradoniano', the song and the video represent an explosion of sounds and cultures, combining memorable verses, such as those of "O surdat innammurat", with stadium chants such as "Ho visto Maradona", and mixing everything in a true multi-ethnic concentrate.
The Neapolitan text blends with traditional tammurriate rhythms, Latin cadences, Afro choirs, Mediterranean pop harmonies and Middle Eastern instrumentals, creating a unique and engaging musical experience. MaraDona's single is available on all streaming platforms and the videoclip is on YouTube.
