The crew of a 118 ambulance was threatened Napoli by a woman who pointed a kitchen knife at the toilet.
The association Nessuno tocchi Ippocrate denounced it on its Facebook page. “At 22pm last night – he reports – the 118 Airport crew was alerted by the operations centre for a 'state of alcoholic intoxication' in via Fellini in Scampia (yellow code).
Once there, the daughter reports to the medical staff that her mother is very aggressive and has already beaten her neighbor. The doctor approaches the patient calmly, taking vital signs and administering therapy, but suddenly the woman begins to scream, complaining about the presence of her psychiatrist.
Suddenly and for no reason, with a leap, the patient opens the kitchen drawer and grabs a knife and points it at the toilets. The doctor, nurse and driver run away from the apartment and alert the police who are on the scene shortly after. The woman, at the sight of the taser pointed by an officer, drops the knife and follows 118 towards the Ospedale del Mare”.
Nobody touches Hippocrates notes that "There is less and less talk of attacks on health workers, even though the phenomenon has remained constant over time. The State prefers to join the civil action for a teacher hit by a student with a pellet gun", while “the ones they are pointing at us are real guns, real knives.
Without taking anything away from the teachers who deserve our full support, but we risk our lives every day, and in 2023, 49 times.”, concludes Manuel Roggiero, president of Nessuno Tocchi Ippocrate.
