Naples, 2 prison officers attacked in Secondigliano prison

Yet another attack on prison officers in a prison of Campania.

“Yesterday morning – refers – at the central infirmary, upon returning from a walk, a policeman was violently hit by a Romanian prisoner, who, not satisfied, once his colleague had fallen to the ground, pounced on him and, grabbing his neck, was suffocating him.

The timely intervention of the other officers averted the worst but the prisoner injured another policeman. In the end, two colleagues ended up in the hospital, one of whom had a broken wrist. And the serious fact is that yesterday, in command of a complex structure like Secondigliano, there was an inspector, not an official, and much less a director of the Penitentiary Police!”.

Capece, who brings solidarity to the injured and bruised colleagues in Secondigliano, recalls that for months the Sappe has asked the Dap to “to put a stop to the current coming and going of managers of the Penitentiary Police force serving in institutions in the Campania Region, who are often employed in various structures of the Administration without, however, initially participating in regular and transparent consultations and, among other things, without their consent sometimes being asked (with possible disruption to their family life)”.
