The 12-year-old patient who was injured yesterday in the accident involving a Frecce Tricolori plane and the car in which he was traveling with his parents and his little sister, who unfortunately died, spent a peaceful night.
After being transported to the Regina Margherita hospital, the child was sedated as a precaution, treated for burns covering almost 30% of his body and admitted to intensive care. Both he and his parents were provided with psychological support by an expert specialized in pediatric cases.
This morning, the young patient gradually began to wake up from precautionary sedation, with the support of the same psychologist. His general clinical condition is good and there are no concerns about his general condition. The burns will follow their course of treatment.
The parents were also observed overnight at the Orthopedic Trauma Center, where they were taken immediately after the accident. Both rested well and there are no significant clinical problems despite the burns reported, which do not cause particular concern. Since yesterday evening, they have been provided with dedicated psychological support by one of the expert psychologists at the Città della Salute.
