With these words the mayor of Napoli, Gaetano Manfredi, the journalist recalled Giancarlo Siani, killed by the Camorra on 23 September 1985.
"Even today, Siani is an emblematic figure for all of us, but especially for the young people of our community.", he added.

Manfredi took part in the laying of a wreath at the plaque dedicated to Giancarlo Siani. Present were the president of the order of journalists of Campania, Ottavio Lucarelli, the president of the municipality Clementina Cozzolino, the Libera representative for Campania, Geppino Fiorenza, the former parliamentarian and brother of Giancarlo, Paolo Siani, the former parliamentarian Nando Dalla Chiesa.
