A woman turned to MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli after receiving a verbal assault from an abusive parking attendant outside the pediatric hospital Santobono, in via Caiazzo. The woman, according to the parking attendant, was guilty of ruining his business because she had occupied a parking space, within the blue lines, with a resident parking ticket.
"The problem of illegal parking attendants is a real plague that must be eradicated like weeds. Outside the Santobono there is a real task force of parking attendants who comb the area every day and make mind-boggling profits. In particular, the hospitals in Naples are targeted by these individuals, capable of demanding parking fees even from those who arrive in an emergency at the emergency room. I don't think it is difficult to foresee fixed posts of the Municipal Police outside these structures.
Only with a relentless and daily persecution of these crimes will it be possible to cleanse the streets of Naples from these criminals, who not only commit the crime of extortion, but often become violent and when they do not damage the cars of those who refuse to pay the protection money they also physically attack people. Citizens cannot be forced to suffer such abuses. Despite the many complaints it seems that nothing changes".
