“The text of the decree law on Campi Flegrei is on the home straight”. This was announced by the Minister of Civil Protection Nello Musumeci.
“With the offices of the department - explains - we are in fact defining the last formal steps. I expect to bring it to the Council of Ministers for examination within a few days".
Musumeci announced that he met today with the Campania Region Councillor with responsibility for Civil Protection Mario Morcone for the “sharing some of the objectives contained in the provision. We have also asked the National Commission for Major Risks, of the National Civil Protection System, to – the minister again – to let us know the scientific community's analysis regarding the updated situation of the area affected from a seismic and bradyseismic point of view".
“We are not neglecting any element: everything that is necessary – assures the minister – the government is doing it, in agreement with the Region, local authorities and the prefecture".
