The Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio inaugurated three new courtrooms at the Court of Napoli North, located at Aversa and competent for 38 municipalities in the provinces of Caserta and Naples.
Municipalities characterized by problems related to high crime rates and environmental and socio-economic degradation. Nordio emphasized the importance of the efficiency of the judicial system and praised the synergic collaboration between the offices of the Ministry, the President of the Court, the Prosecutor and the Bar Association.
The ceremony was attended by the president of the court Pierluigi Picardi, the prosecutor Maria Antonietta Troncone and the president of the Order of Lawyers of Naples North Gianluca Lauro.
Nordio emphasized the need to consider people regardless of political affiliations, reiterating the commitment to improve the reality of the territory under the jurisdiction of the Court of Naples North, characterized by a large population and challenging crime.
He assured that IT equipment for the new courtrooms will soon be provided and highlighted the priority of strengthening the administrative staff. Finally, Nordio addressed the issue of the number of magistrates, announcing the upcoming competition for 400 positions and underlining the need to simplify bureaucratic processes. He concluded by mentioning the importance of justices of the peace and the need to strengthen and ensure dignified accommodation for honorary judges.
