December 21, 22 and 23, followed by December 27, will be four days full of artistic and recreational activities with a Christmas theme.
“Natale in terza” is an event mainly aimed at girls and boys and is desired and promoted by the III° Municipality of the City of Naples and financed by the Department of Tourism.
“Natale in terza” is a Christmas event promoted by the III° Municipality and the Municipality of Naples organized by the company Graf srl. On the occasion that celebrates the sacredness of the family, the organizers have decided to give boys and girls some moments of lightheartedness to live the holidays even more intensely.
Through the celebrations of the Nativity, and away from school commitments, the little citizens of the III° Municipality, accompanied by their parents, will be able to experience carefree days and educational moments through the classic styles of Christmas. There will be no shortage of comedy and traditional music.
There will be countless recreational activities: markets, typical products, children's shows, tastings of cotton candy and popcorn, parades of superheroes and princesses, dance elves and workshops to dress up as elves with many itinerant shows by street artists, up to the Grand Parade of Santa Claus with his sleigh.
On December 21st at Via Ponti Rossi and December 22nd at Capodimonte, the activities will start in the morning with the markets and continue in the afternoon with those dedicated to children. From 20 pm, with free admission, at Piazza Lieti the comedy show of the trio I Ditelo Voi and at 21 pm the musical show by Renato Maggio in “Musitalia”.
On December 23rd at Colli Aminei (Via Nicolardi, Viale Dei Pini, Viale Colli Aminei and Viale Farnese) in addition to the countless entertainment activities for children there will be the Grand Parade with Santa's Sleigh.
The four-day event will end on December 27 at the Church of S. Agostino degli Scalzi in Materdei (19 pm free admission until all seats are taken) with an exclusive concert by Gianni Lamagna (voice of the Nuova compagnia di canto popolare.). Lamagna, who began his career in Roberto De Simone's company, will present the show entitled "Stories and music for the Days of Christmas" and will be joined by the voices of Lello Giulivo, Anna Spagnuolo and Patrizia Spinosi with musicians Michele Bonè (guitar and chitarra battente), Paolo Propoli (guitars), Marino Sorrentino (bagpipes, ciaramella and brass), Giacomo D'Angiò and Lucio Palumbo (bagpipes of the Arianova group).
The show is "research that resists" and tries to present itself to the new generations, so that they too can defend and spread the words and sounds of their belonging through the music of the Campania tradition, an extraordinary heritage of forms and languages to be disseminated and kept alive.
Among the pieces that will be performed we find songs that have become true historical memory of Neapolitan music: La Leggenda del Lupino, 'O zampugnaro 'nnammurato, 'A Nuvena, but also others, less known: Natale Napoletano, Tarantella 'e Natale, Lu Zampugnariello. Furthermore, we find the famous “Villanella a Ballo” from La Gatta Cenerentola, the compositions of Paliotti; Nonna Nonna, Saccio na bella Canzone, Strummulillo, and a piece composed by Gianni Lamagna, “Natale e simm' eguale”.
