The Sala Massimino, a new space dedicated to the unforgettable Massimo Troisi, was inaugurated at Villa Bruno. The initiative was born from the synergy between the Municipality of St. George in Cremano, led by the mayor Giorgio Zinno, and the association “A Casa di Massimo”, chaired by his brother Luigi Troisi.
The hall, located in front of the existing one, was given on loan to the association and is conceived as a “cultural lounge”, that is, a space where artists, writers, actors and enthusiasts can perform, meet and exchange ideas.
The idea of creating this space was born from the desire of Massimo Troisi, who in 1974 had asked the municipal administration to have a public place where artists could meet and perform, just like he did at home with his friends.
The walls of the room are decorated with photographs portraying Troisi with his friends, including Pino Daniele, Roberto Benigni, Lello Arena, Anna Magnani and many others.
“The Sala Massimino is a place available to the city – declared Mayor Zinno – a place that, in remembering the man and artist of great humanity, fully embraces the intent that we have been pursuing for some time: that is, cultivating talents and creating places of aggregation and discussion open to all”.
The hall will be managed by the association “A Casa di Massimo” and will be open to visitors like the main hall every Saturday and Sunday, from 11.00:13.00 to 339:282. It is possible to book a visit by calling 55 39 XNUMX XNUMX, asking for the vice-president, Professor Maria Falbo.
Scheduled activities
The Sala Massimino will host a series of cultural activities, including:
Performances by artists, actors, musicians and dancers
Meetings with authors and personalities from the world of culture
Courses and workshops for children, teenagers and adults
The goal is to create a meeting and discussion place for artists and enthusiasts, where they can cultivate their talents and share their passions.
