On the radio and all platforms from Friday 26 January “Cantastorie” (La Grande Onda/Altafonte), the new single by Roman musician Chino.
Born in 2000, Filippo Pisani, aka Chino, was born in Rome, where his place of origin plays a fundamental role in his musical education from the very beginning. Chino is fascinated by artists such as Califano and Gabriella Ferri, uniting them in a temporal mix with young heirs of Roman music such as Mannarino and Coez.
“Storyteller describes my daily life, my goals and the long chats with friends outside a bar in my neighborhood, fantasizing about music and a future life, describing both my aspirations, but also my fears and worries related to this great ambition” says Chino who adds: “For this song I tried to include references to Rome and Romanness in the background, such as the derby between Roma and Lazio compared to a love story and citing Zerocalcare's Netflix series Questo mondo non mi rendere cattivo”.
The first step in Chino's artistic career began at school, where together with seven classmates he founded the hip hop collective "Banda Larga". With the collective he signed two albums "Buone Nuove" in 2017 and "Iside" in 2019 both recorded at the Quadraro basement in Rome. In the time between the two albums, Chino recorded his first solo album "Mille Lire". Once the group was dissolved, Chino decided to completely change genre by approaching indie, mixing it with his passion for rap and Roman music. In 2020 Chino joined the Grande Onda family, creating two EPs. "Figli" and "Madison" and subsequently began the artistic partnership with the gold record producer Promo L'inverso, with whom he signed four singles, and with whom he is working on new projects. Chino has taken part in several live shows and performances, opening for: Lucci, Snak the ripper, Egreen and Nex Cassel, Brokenspeakers, Piotta, Dj Argento and Er costa, not forgetting live shows such as Euro2020 Piazza del popolo, Festa della musica di Roma, Parco Shuster propaganda and Villa Ada festival.
Produced by La Grande Onda with the support of MiC and SIAE as part of the “Per Chi Crea” initiative.
